FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are the rates listed on the website per person or per room?
The prices listed on our website are per room, per night. They are inclusive of 10% GST, so the total cost of your stay will simply be number of nights x rate per night.

I am interested in booking a room, how do I know if it is available on the dates I want it?
Select Rates & Availability to view our Calendar which will show dates available for booking and applicable tariffs.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Guest check-in is 2 pm on arrival date and 11 am check out on departure date – except during peak times where we ask that you vacate your room before 10am. These times may be flexible off peak, especially if there are no guests staying before or arriving after your stay. Please ensure any requests for earlier check in or later check out are made by email to Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat prior to your arrival. We will do our best to endeavour to accommodate your request. For catering purposes it would be appreciated if you could inform us of your expected arrival time prior to arrival.

Is on-site parking available?
FREE on-site parking is available at Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat for our guests. No reservation is required.

The suite I want to book has a 2-night minimum requirement but I want to stay for only 1 night. Is it possible for me to book?
Please contact management to discuss your travel plans. We will do our best to accommodate your request. An additional surcharge may apply for single night bookings.

We are three adults but we don’t mind sharing beds or having one person sleep on the floor. Can we still book a room?
The maximum number of guests is 2 adults for each room is the maximum number allowed. If upon arrival there are more guests requiring accommodation than the room allows, the manager reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Should this be the case, any deposit paid will be forfeited.

Do you accept children at Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat?
We regret to advise that as we have a pool, sauna and stairs, and for the quiet enjoyment of other guests, Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat is strictly an adults only Retreat.

When do I need to pay for my booking reservation?
Full payment is required at the time of booking and a formal booking confirmation will be issued by email to you which will include details of your booking, contact details and directions to Lighthouse Retreat. If you do not receive a booking confirmation from us, it may have been diverted to your Spam , Junk or Bin folders on your computer. Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will forward a replacement copy to you.

What payment methods can I use to pay the deposit?
We accept Credit Cards – Visa or MasterCard.

I’ve booked my accommodation, but I have some follow-up questions about my stay. Whom should I contact?
All post-booking questions or comments should be directed to the “Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat” Manager. All contact details can be found on the “BOOKING CONFIRMATION” email you received immediately after making your reservation online.

I’ve booked my accommodation, but now need to extend my stay. Whom should I contact?
Please contact the Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat manager by email to extend your stay and, providing availability for additional nights allows, we will modify your reservation for you, charge your Credit Card provided for the additional night(s) booked, and forward a booking confirmation directly to you.

What is the cancellation policy?
All electronic bookings via external websites are non-refundable. Cancellations notified 30 days or less prior to arrival will forfeit 100% of the total tariff. Should a replacement booking be secured, a partial or full refund may be provided at Management discretion. All prepaid bookings are non-refundable. An administration fee of $50 may apply to all cancellations.

Will somebody be there to greet me?
There will be someone on site on arrival to welcome you to Lighthouse Retreat.

The price on the website is now lower than it was at the time I made my booking. Have I been overcharged?
The prices listed on our website reflect the prevailing prices at that point in time. Sometimes the manager will offer price discounts to generate last-minute bookings or raise prices to reflect improvements to the property or special events. In these cases, no price adjustments will be made to bookings that were made prior to the implementation of the price change.

Will linens and towels be provided, or do I have to bring my own? What about soap and shampoo?
All bedding, linen, towels, robes and luxury toiletry products will be provided. If you have any other specific questions about what is included in the property, please email the Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat manager directly.

Will I receive daily service in my room?
All rooms are serviced daily at Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat, except if guests don’t leave their room to allow cleaning to be completed, or request not to be disturbed.

I am flying into Tullamarine/Avalon airport. Can you provide a transfer from the airport to my final destination?
We do not provide a transfer service however there are a number of car hire services at both airports that can be pre-booked prior to your journey to Aireys Inlet.

What time is the breakfast?
Breakfast is served daily in the dining room between 8am and 10am. If your travel plans require you to make an alternative arrangement to this, please ensure you advise management the day prior. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

What time is afternoon tea?
Afternoon tea is delivered to your suite daily.

Do you have other meals provided?
No other meals are provided at the Retreat. There are numerous dining options available locally for guests.

What are the directions to Lighthouse Retreat?

Travelling from Anglesea, as you approach Aireys Inlet you will see the General Store on your left.

Travel past the store & down the hill (you will pass the Aireys Pub on your right hand side).

At the bottom of the hill you will see Inlet Crescent – a sharp hairpin turn on your left hand side. Turn left here & follow Lighthouse Road up the hill.

Turn right at the top of the hill into Federal Street.
7A Federal Street is half way up on the right hand side.
Our entrance is just beside the Willow café. Look for our old farm gate with the ships wheel at our entrance with our Aireys Inlet Lighthouse Retreat signage.
